Largest Heart Failure Program in the Region

University Hospital’s Heart Failure Treatment Center is the largest exclusive heart failure program in the region. We bring together the brightest and best clinicians from University Hospital and University of Cincinnati College of Medicine to diagnose and treat approximately 3,000 heart failure patients every year. As a focused program committed to involvement in cutting edge therapies, the Heart Failure Treatment Center delivers rapid diagnoses and long-term therapy for patients with this complex illness.

The treatment of heart failure is a fully integrated collaborative approach. Working in partnership with hospitals and physician practices around the region, our experts assist community partners with tailored patient care and access to the latest information and technology. We share our knowledge with clinicians in the field, promoting widespread access to care. Involvement in Clinical Trials

Our Heart Failure Treatment Center participates in the most recent clinical research trials available. For more compromised heart failure patients, the Heart Failure/Transplant Program incorporates most advanced therapies. Opportunities for participation in clinical trials involve new medications, devices and other therapies unavailable at other centers.

The UC Cardiovascular Institute at University Hospital is a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment center for all types of heart conditions. We are also pleased to announce a new partnership with Cardiac, Vascular and Thoracic Surgeons, Inc. (CVTS). This partnership is an integral step toward advancing the care of cardiac patients in the Greater Cincinnati area. CVTS is the region’s leading community-based cardiac surgery practice. Their expertise will continue to advance the innovation in our community, ensuring the redefinition of standardized cardiac care in the region and adding to the quality clinical services at UC Health.
