UC Health 22ND Annual Baby Reunion Held at West Chester Hospital

West Chester, OH—Nov. 29, 2012—On Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m., the University of Cincinnati (UC) Center for Reproductive Health (CRH) held its 22nd annual holiday reunion for families who have been assisted with pregnancy by methods such as in vitro fertilization and ovulation induction. The event took place at West Chester Hospital, in the Plaza Conference Room & Cafeteria, Level A, 7700 University Drive, West Chester, OH 45069.

This is the first time the annual event took place in West Chester, where the CRH will open a new state-of-the-art fertility center in spring 2013. The timing of the event also marks the 10-year anniversary of a UC Health physician presence in West Chester.

About 300 people—including babies, toddlers, tweens, teens and young adults conceived with the center’s assistance—were expected to attend the event, which is hosted annually by the center’s director and founder, Michael Thomas, MD.

The UC Center for Reproductive Health was established in 1988 and has been offering in vitro fertilization since 1990. The center is a division of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is the only comprehensive patient care and research unit focused on women’s health in the Cincinnati area.

“This is the one event I look forward to every year. We are very proud to be a part of our patient’s lives and this reunion party allows us to say thank you to the kids and parents,” said Thomas, who also serves as the division director. Thomas is one of three infertility specialists at the center with expertise in infertility, menopause and endocrine disorders. He is joined by Julie Sroga, MD and Krystene DiPaola, MD, who serves as the medical director of the UC Center for Reproductive Health.
