There is more to our services, however than meets the eye. Here are some fun facts:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><strong>ACMC was named 2013-2015 Program of the Year <\/strong> by the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS), an international award of distinction in the medical transport industry. <\/li>\n<li><strong>ACMC is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2024 <\/strong> with accident-free flight missions and more than 100,000 patient transports by ground. <\/li>\n<li><strong>ACMC staff, volunteer for and hold paid positions at many fire\/ems agencies <\/strong> in Ohio, Kentucky &#038; Indiana. <\/li>\n<li><strong>ACMC carries blood, plasma, transexamic acid (TXA) <\/strong> and hypertonic saline on every flight, making ACMC a leader in the advanced transport medicine industry. <\/li>\n<li><strong>UC health owns 3 state of the art EC 145 helicopters <\/strong> \u2013 equipped with enhanced safety and patient care features. <\/li>\n<li><strong>ACMC\u2019s special event crew provides medical coverage <\/strong> for UC sporting events and premiere events in the community. <\/li>\n<li><strong>ACMC\u2019s MICU specializes in complex and critical transports <\/strong> \u2013 including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>By the numbers:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>More than 700 hours and nearly 60,000 miles are flown each year utilizing about 80,000 gallons of jet fuel.<\/p>\n<p>More than 4,800 hours and 160,000 miles are driven each year.<\/p>\n<h4>Flights:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>66% Interfacility<\/li>\n<li>33% Scenes<\/li>\n<li>44% Trauma<\/li>\n<li>16% Neurologic<\/li>\n<li>16% Cardiac\/Vascular<\/li>\n<li>14% Pediatric<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Mobile:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>10% Mobile Intensive Care<\/li>\n<li>24% Advanced life support<\/li>\n<li>66% Basic Life Support<\/li>\n<li>11% Neurologic<\/li>\n<li>8% Cardiac\/Vascular<\/li>\n<li>8% Trauma<\/li>\n<li>32% Psychiatric<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Air Care &#038; Mobile Care\u2019s services range from mass casualty evacuation to transport to a patient\u2019s residence.
