Kathy Beechem, retired Executive Vice President of US Bank and Chair of the UC Brain Tumor Center’s Community Advisory Board, was honored as an Enquirer Woman of the Year Tuesday at the Hyatt Regency downtown. Ms. Beechem was honored along with nine other outstanding Cincinnati women, who have made significant contributions in their professional lives and as volunteers.

Ms. Beechem’s accomplishments include:

  • rising to one of the highest management positions held by a woman at US Bank
  • co-founding the United Way of Greater Cincinnati’s Women’s Leadership Council
  • launching a mentoring program that links leading female United Way donors with residents at Gardens at Greenup

Ms. Beechem also has written a book, “So Far So Good,” about her experience as a caregiver to her late husband, Pete Nadherny, who died of brain cancer in 2008. The book, which is intended to help others who are caring for a terminally ill loved one, will be published soon.

The entire UC Brain Tumor Center Team applauds Ms. Beechem and thanks her for her many contributions to the Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Community.
