Coronavirus Update

At UC Health, we are committed to providing world-class care, delivered with compassion. As the region’s academic health system, part of serving our community is sharing the latest information on important health matters.

UC Health is working with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), the Ohio Department of Health, the Cincinnati Health Department and other partners to closely monitor developments related to COVID-19 (also known as “novel coronavirus”), and will continue to do so.

As this situation continues to rapidly evolve, please visit the CDC COVID-19 website for the latest information on COVID-19.

It is important to remember that the overall risk to any individual is far greater from seasonal influenza than COVID-19 at this time and that simple hand hygiene (such as thoroughly and regularly washing your hands with soap and water) and respiratory etiquette (such as coughing or sneezing into your elbow) are highly effective.

If you or a loved one believe you are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 or need more information, please contact your local health department. As always, If you require emergency response, please call 911 or visit the nearest emergency department.

Find out as we interview Dr. Carl Fichtenbaum, professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases; and Dr. Dustin Calhoun, medical director of emergency management for UC Health.
