Daniel Drake Center for Post Acute Care – OHA Annual Occupational Safety Award Winner

UC Health’s Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care has been named the recipient of the Ohio Hospital Association’s Occupational Safety Award for 2019.

The annual award was created by the Ohio Hospital Association, or OHA, in 1953 in an effort to promote occupational safety. The OHA presents the awards to recognize leadership in the field of occupational safety.

“This award is a testament to the diligent efforts of Daniel Drake Center’s staff and leadership not only to ensure the safety of its patients, but also the safety of its highly valued employees,” said Lafe Bauer, vice president and chief administrative officer for Daniel Drake Center.

The OHA recognizes hospitals with the lowest total recordable incident rate. Data is collected on employee injury in hospitals throughout the state.

As a member of UC Health, the Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care has served Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky for more than 165 years. It is the region’s premier provider of post-acute and transitional care services, offering a complete range of inpatient and outpatient services including medically complex care, skilled nursing, assisted living, wellness services and research.
