The Parkinson’s Disease Support Network of Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana (PDSNOKI) has donated $60,000 in proceeds from the 20th annual Jerry Wuest-Pete Hershberger Dinner Gala & Golf Classic to the James J. and Joan A. Gardner Family Center for Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders at the University of Cincinnati Gardner Neuroscience Institute (UCNI).

The donation, presented in a special ceremony on the UC Academic Health Center campus on Oct. 10, brought PDSNOKI’s total giving since 2004 to $327,600.

“This group has spent countless hours getting the word out and fundraising for Parkinson’s research,” said Gina Weitzel, Senior Director of Development for UCNI. “These donations come in addition to the Support Network’s commitment to funding various exercise classes for people with movement disorders in the tri-state region. We extend our most sincere thanks to Sandy and Jerry Wuest, Jan and Pete Hershberger and the PDSNOKI Board for all they do for our Parkinson’s community.”
