People pose with giant check

The Shemenski Foundation, which honors the life of John Shemenski, who died of a brain tumor in 2008, presented the UC Brain Tumor Center with a check for $24,000 on January 27. The generous donation will support clinical trials research.

The Shemenski Foundation, established in 2009, is dedicated to “raising awareness, providing financial support and spreading the hope, courage and determination needed to beat cancer.”
