West Chester Hospital Presents: Moving Forward Into Cancer Survivorship

Cancer survivors have a lot to celebrate, but they can also have mixed emotions as they begin searching for a “new normal” after treatment. To help patients make the transition to survivorship, UC Health’s West Chester Hospital will offer on Saturday, Sept. 10, a free seminar titled Moving Forward Into Cancer Survivorship.

For many patients, survivorship means the end of regular trips to the doctor.  Fatigue will lessen, and energy will increase. Survivors may find themselves worrying about recurrence and trying to balance that with the knowledge that they are in good health.
At the Sept. 10 seminar, a medical oncologist with West Chester Hospital will lead an honest and forthright discussion about survivorship and how to transition to a life that is cancer free.
West Chester Hospital is presenting the Sept. 10 seminar as part of the Free Cancer Education& Support Series in conjunction with Cancer Support Community of Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky.  The educational health series features physicians and other health care professionals who will speak on a variety of cancer-related topics throughout the year.
