Support Groups

General Cancer Support Group


This support group is offered through a collaborative partnership between West Chester Hospital and Cancer Support Community. The support group is open to all cancer patients, family members, caregivers and survivors — and anyone who has been affected by cancer. The purpose of this group meeting is to connect and share with others who are also experiencing personal journeys with cancer. All group sessions are hosted by a licensed mental health professional. Registration is not required.

  • Look Good, Feel Better Program (1-800-227-2345)
    • Free program for women undergoing cancer treatment, where specially trained volunteer beauty professionals lead small groups through practical, hands-on experience. Women learn about makeup, skin care, nail care, and ways to deal with hair loss such as with wigs, turbans, and scarves.

    • Contact Info: UCH will no longer host this on site due to poor attendance, however all SW refer patients to the program using the flyer provided by ACS. (See attached pdf)

    • Dedicated ACS Navigator on site (Contact is Julie Behan, 584-2634, Our patients have 24 hour access also available via 1-800-227-2345. She is located off the 2nd floor lobby of the Barrett Cancer Center. Services include:

      • Difficult conversations with loved ones and family conferences
      • Pain and symptom management (dyspnea, anxiety, nausea, delirium, etc.)
      • Advance care planning
