Bringing together the expertise of two academic departments, cardiology and radiology, the new Sanghvi Center for Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging<\/a> at University of Cincinnati (UC) Medical Center<\/a> is a partnership that strengthens the ability to provide exceptional care to patients throughout the region.<\/p>\n

The new Center provides next-generation imaging technology and deep expertise not yet available at other institutions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe strong collaboration between our cardiologists, radiologists and scientists is unlike any other in our area,\u201d says Richard Becker, MD<\/a>, director and physician-in-chief of the UC Heart, Lung and Vascular Institute and director of the UC Division of Cardiovascular Health and Disease.<\/p>\n

Andrew Crean, MD<\/a> MRCP, FRCR, Vijay and Khushman Sanghvi Endowed Chair in Cardiac Imaging and director of the Center, says the focus will be on the development and application of imaging technology for the diagnosis, treatment and study of complex cardiovascular disease. Some of the advanced imaging offered at The Center includes:

\n\u2022 Cardiac MRI
\n\u2022 Nuclear Imaging, including solid state technology
\n\u2022 Exercise Stress Testing

\n\u2022 Trans-Esophageal Echocardiography
\n\u2022 Intracardiac Ultrasound
