Dr. Oluwole Awosika has a double Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and Physiological Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago College of Medicine and completed his residency in neurology at Massachusetts General/Brigham and Women’s Hospitals/Harvard Medical School, a Clinical Neurorehabilitation fellowship at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital, and a post-doctoral research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, under the supervision of Dr. Leonardo Cohen in the Human Cortical Physiology and Stroke Neurorehabilitation Section. He is American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certified.
Dr. Awosika’s research area of focus is in locomotor recovery and plasticity, and investigating novel and non-invasive ways to promote recovery after neurological injury.
