Sulsal Haque, MD, is a hematologist oncologist with a focus on nonmalignant hematology disorders. He enjoys this because of the complex and evolving science in cancer and blood disorders. Dr. Haque is most proud of the work that he did during his training at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He worked with Trisha Wise-Draper, MD, PhD, and her team, and designed a clinical trial using immunotherapy in head and neck cancer patients. This work has recently been shown to be a potentially effective treatment. Dr. Haque enjoys interacting with colleagues and other members of the healthcare team and being in a job that allows him to meet people of all walks of life. His philosophy on patient care is honesty. One of the things that he has come to appreciate is that patients always want the facts, and they are smart enough to make the best healthcare decisions for themselves. Outside of clinical work, he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. He looks forward to traveling the country this summer with the whole family.
