Katelyn Reid is a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Pathologist specializing in voice disorders at the UC Health Voice & Swallowing Disorders Center. She has been an integral part of the center since 2014, bringing her expertise and passion for voice therapy to countless patients.
A native of Cincinnati, Katelyn's journey began at the University of Cincinnati (UC) College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), where she earned her Undergraduate degree in Acting in 2009. Her deep understanding of voice and performance naturally led her to teach Voice and Speech as an Adjunct Professor at CCM for over a decade. She pursued her passion for speech pathology during her teaching tenure, earning a Master of Arts degree in Speech Pathology from the UC College of Allied Health Sciences in 2013.
Before her current role, Katelyn completed her clinical fellowship at Ohio ENT in Columbus, OH, honing her skills and gaining invaluable experience in the field. She holds several prestigious certifications, including American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), Myofascial Release Therapy for the Head and Neck, Lee Silverman Voice Treatment-LOUD (LSVT), Estill Level 1 & 2 and Lessac-Madsen Resonant Voice Training.
Katelyn is passionate about serving her community and finds joy in practicing as a Voice-Focused Speech Pathologist. In addition to her professional work, she continues to nurture her love for performance, singing and acting in various local venues across the city.
Her research interests include vocal violence in voice-over artists, a field in which she is committed to making significant contributions.
In her free time, Katelyn loves traveling and spending time with her husband and two young boys.
