Parkinson’s disease can affect many of the body's functions, including your voice. We understand the challenges that can come with having hypophonia (low voice volume) or speech difficulty. Our expertise in Lee Silverman voice therapy can help you make improvements.

SUPPORT THAT’S JUST DOWN THE ROAD

Lee Silverman voice therapy requires visits over the course of a month to help your voice get better. With our convenient locations in Cincinnati and West Chester, we make those visits easy to get to.

Help Along the Way

Answers to your Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT) Questions

The benefits of LSVT include improved intelligibility (easier for others to understand you), volume of voice and swallowing.

You’ll meet with our speech therapists to identify the specific areas where you are having the most trouble. Your speech therapist will develop a personalized plan to help improve your voice. The plan is regimented and time-intensive. Therapy typically requires visits four days a week for four weeks.

Your actual therapy appointments will likely be four times a week for a month. Most patients continue to experience success with the therapy if they continue to do home exercises. But, sometimes a refresher course is necessary.
