West Chester Hospital and Cancer Support Community of Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky have partnered to bring support, education and information to cancer patients, cancer survivors, and to members of the local community who have been touched by cancer.  The two organizations are offering a free cancer education program, entitled “Personalizing Therapy for Advanced Lung Cancer Patients.”

Presented by a UC Health West Chester Hospital physician who specializes in oncology/hematology, the seminar will focus on advanced non-small cell lung cancer and personalized treatment methodologies. In past years, lung cancer was considered just one disease. Today, it is viewed and treated as a multi-disease entity in which cancer specialists can create highly tailored and more-effective treatment plans.

This free series is offered throughout the year at West Chester Hospital and features informal presentations by physicians and other health care professionals in a casual and relaxed environment. Presenters speak about a variety of pertinent cancer-related topics. Representatives from Cancer Support Community and West Chester Hospital are available to discuss the challenges of a cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery, as well as provide information about their cancer programs and services.
