We have a long-standing commitment to understanding the mechanisms of disease and to clinical research designed to advance the standards of care for our patients.<\/p>\n<p>Patients with pulmonary hypertension have high blood pressure in the pulmonary arteries in the lungs. This forces the heart to work harder to pump blood through the lungs. Over time, the heart can weaken or fail completely.
