“After my knee replacement surgery in September 2012, I stayed in the Drake Skilled Nursing Unit for five weeks. From the first day, my nurses and nursing assistants were great. At first I couldn’t do a lot for myself, so they took care of my personal needs and made sure I had my pain medication on time. Pretty soon, I was ready for rehab. I had therapy at least four times a week, and I worked hard to get stronger. I liked it at Drake, but I didn’t come to stay! Now I’m back home. But I am still amazed by how well I was treated at Drake Center.”
