Cancer Educational Series: Women’s Cancer Is Not Always Pink

UC Health West Chester Hospital and Cancer Support Community want to remind women that Women’s Cancer Is Not Always Pink. This engaging, interactive discussion with a gynecologic oncologist on symptoms, risk, and screening for gynecologic cancers will be held on May 14.

While breast cancer remains a leading cause of death among women, gynecologic cancers – often called “below the belt cancers” – can carry equally devastating diagnoses. According to the American Cancer Society, nearly 100,000 new cases of gynecologic cancers were diagnosed in 2015. Gynecologic cancers include:

  • Ovarian Cancer
  • Uterine Cancer
  • Vulvar Cancer
  • Cervical Cancer

West Chester Hospital is holding the Fireside Chat: Cancer Educational Series in conjunction with Cancer Support Community of Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky. The educational health series features physicians and other healthcare professionals who will speak on a variety of cancer-related topics throughout the year.
