Candid Discussion of Cancer Treatment Side Effects at West Chester Hospital

UC Health’s West Chester Hospital, in collaboration with Cancer Support Community of Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky, will hold a free seminar to facilitate a frank discussion about managing the often-challenging side effects of cancer treatment. The session will be held in October.

Deborah Conradi, UC Health registered nurse and oncology patient coordinator for West Chester Hospital, will discuss strategies to help manage common side effects which include:
• Fatigue
• Hair Loss
• Anemia
• Infection
• Pain

Conradi will be joined by Kerry Caito, social worker and group facilitator for Cancer Support Community, who will teach patients how to manage emotional distress and optimize their quality of life during cancer treatment.

This ongoing program is a collaborative effort between West Chester Hospital and Cancer Support Community of Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky to bring support, education and information to cancer patients, cancer survivors, and to members of the local community who have been touched by cancer.
