Free Digestive Health Seminars Hosted by West Chester Hospital March 21 & 25

Of cancers that affect both men and women, colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States and the third most common cancer in men and in women.

To meet a community need for information about colorectal cancer as well as overall digestive health, West Chester Hospital is pleased to offer two free seminars featuring the region’s leading gastroenterologists and colorectal surgeons who will provide helpful information about the digestive system.

Attendees will be invited to learn more about the digestive system, including how to maintain optimal gastrointestinal health. Additional topics will include: What is the anatomy of the digestive system? What are the differences between the upper and lower gastrointestinal tracts? What are common ailments or conditions that affect each tract and what remedies are available? What types of cancer impact the digestive system? What are current treatment options for GI-related cancers? What are tips for cancer prevention within the digestive system?

WHAT: FREE Digestive Health Community Seminars
WHEN: Saturday, March 21 – 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  The seminar will be repeated on Wednesday, March 25 – 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
