Free Monthly Diabetes Education Classes Offered at West Chester Hospital

For those who are newly diagnosed with diabetes, for those diabetics who need additional instruction to better manage the disease, and for those who are pre-diabetic, West Chester Hospital offers comprehensive diabetes education classes every month.

The program consists of two 4-hour classes, presented by a certified diabetes nurse educator, as well as a registered dietitian and a pharmacist. Classes feature a variety of topics including: meal planning and carbohydrate counting, making smart choices when dining out, achieving better results with medication, a review of newly released medications, and how to start (or improve) an activity program.
