UC Health Names Chief Privacy Officer, Director of Contracting

CINCINNATI (July 25, 2018) — UC Health has named Aimee Cordrey, JD, as chief privacy officer, effective Monday, Aug. 13.

In this role, she will oversee UC Health’s privacy program and serve as the organization’s primary compliance resource for federal and state laws related to privacy and confidentiality of health information.

She will conduct regular privacy audits and trainings and will serve as the interface between UC Health and government agencies responsible for oversight of patient privacy.

Cordrey, who joined UC Health in 2012, is currently associate general counsel and director of contracting. In that role, she helped centralize the organization’s contracting process. She has been practicing law since 1999, including for two Cincinnati-area law firms.

With Cordrey’s move to the chief privacy officer role, Max Czernin, JD, associate general counsel, will take on the role of director of contracting. Czernin joined UC Health in April following eight years in practice as a senior associate at Squire Patton Boggs LLP.

In this expanded role, Czernin will oversee the organization’s contracting program and associated processes, including contract preparation and negotiation.
