West Chester Hospital Offers Free Maternity Seminar on April 11

According to recent CDC data, awareness among young women has dropped concerning the basic measures they can take to promote healthy pregnancy and reduce risk for some common birth defects. As a result, fewer women are taking important precautions.

To educate women and couples on how to have a healthy pregnancy, West Chester Hospital is offering a maternity seminar free to the community. The upcoming seminar will present a discussion on pregnancy questions typical in the third trimester.

During the seminar, the following areas will be explored: Nutrition and fitness for advanced pregnancies; birthing plans and other important choices to be made; tests and warning signs; preparing to bring baby home and how life will change; postpartum recovery; and baby care basics.

WHAT: Planning for a Healthy Baby Seminar
WHEN: Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 10-11:30 a.m.
WHERE: West Chester Hospital, Plaza Conference Room (Level A), 7700 University Drive, West Chester, Ohio 45069

Space is limited for this free event. Seats can be reserved by visiting UCHealth.com/wchevents or by calling (513) 298-3000. Light refreshments will be available. The seminar will be followed by an Open House celebration and tour of the new Maternity Services unit.
