West Chester Hospital Offers Free Women’s Health Seminars

Most women experience a variety of physical and emotional changes as a natural part of the aging process. West Chester Hospital is committed to helping women to achieve optimal health and to embrace the aging process by offering two free educational seminars this month.

The seminars will be offered just for women, focused on navigating their bodies’ changes and maintaining good health from mid-life into the senior years. The region’s leading physicians who specialize in menopause, gynecology and weight management will present vital information about perimenopause and menopause, gynecological conditions and illnesses, as well as weight loss challenges and weight management solutions.

Common questions addressed during the seminars include:
• Why is menopause so challenging? What are some helpful tips for best managing this time of life?
• What is “perimenopause” and what are its signs and symptoms?
• How can I maintain optimal health during menopause?
• What common gynecologic problems do women face as they grow older?
• Does aging place women at greater risk for developing serious illnesses and conditions?
• Why is it important to maintain a healthy weight as one ages?
• How does the body’s metabolism change over our lifetime?
• What are helpful and innovative tips for maintaining an appropriate weight?

WHEN: Wed., June 25, 7–9 p.m. The seminar will be repeated on Sat., June 28, 9-11 a.m.
