Donation Of Excised Keloid And Hypertrophic Scar Tissue For Use In Research Studies

Participants agree to donate keloid or hypertrophic scar tissue that is surgically removed and would otherwise be thrown away, and to provide information about the history of their scars. The tissue will be used for research aimed at development of new scar therapies; treatment will not be provided.
Criteria:
Patients Are Eligible If They Have Already Been Examined By A Doctor For An Abnormal Scar; If The Scar Has Been Diagnosed As A Keloid, Hypertrophic Scar, Or Abnormal Scar; If The Doctor Prescribes A Treatment That Will Involve Surgical Excision Of The Scar; If They Are Willing To Provide Information About Their Medical History As It Relates To The Scar; And If They Are Willing To Provide Informed Consent To Participate In The Study.
