These physicians have access to the latest medical technology and clinical trial medications ensuring that patients receive the highest-quality care.<\/p>\n As part of our Admitting Department, TPRC streamlines transfers into University of Cincinnati Medical Center by arranging patient air or ground transportation.\u00a0 Patients may be transferred by University of Cincinnati Medical Center Air Care & Mobile Care, providing the Greater Cincinnati community air transport and three levels of ground transportation (Mobile Intensive Care, Advanced Life Support or Basic Life Support).\u00a0 It is the most comprehensive air and ground medical transport program in the region and the only program with licensed physicians and critical care supplies on every flight.\u00a0 Patients receive the appropriate level of care specialized to their needs on site. For added convenience, TPRC handles all pre-admission, insurance and medical records prior to patient arrival.\u00a0 There is an established escalation policy to ensure all transfers and referrals are handled efficiently.<\/p>\n By using the TPRC, transfer times can be reduced by as much as half so patients can receive the highly specialized medical care they need as quickly as possible.\u00a0 The TPRC facilitates direct communication between referring physicians and our specialists.\u00a0 To ensure this high level of efficiency, all transfers of stabilized patients \u2013 including newborns \u2013 from other facilities must be coordinated through the TPRC.<\/p>\n The TPRC is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by calling 513-584-BEDS (2337).\u00a0 TPRC staff makes it easy for referring physicians and hospitals to connect with the appropriate University of Cincinnati Medical Center specialists via teleconferencing.
