A congenital heart defect nearly killed Professor of Geology and Anthropology at University of Cincinnati, Kenneth Tankersley. Doctors at UC Heart, Lung & Vascular Institute performed a coil embolization to stop abnormal blood flow within one of his arteries. Since then, he’s been back to archeological digs and discoveries of profound importance.
