High School Student Volunteer Program

Students who are interested in serving our community and contributing to the award-winning customer care environment at West Chester Hospital are invited to apply to our High School Student Volunteer Program. Selected volunteers will assist with greeting guests, wayfinding, escorting visitors, deliveries, operating wheelchairs and other duties as needed. High school volunteers will not be placed in patient care areas, nor will they be exposed to staff performing clinical procedures.  Two-hour shifts are available on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

High school volunteers must meet the following criteria:

  • Must currently be enrolled in grades 9-12 and at least 14 years old.
  • Able to commit to a volunteer schedule of once per week for two hours for the entire semester.
  • Volunteers must submit an online application, as well as additional documents which will be emailed to you and should be promptly returned.
