The 70 UC Health clinicians who ranked as the top 1% in the nation received consistent scores of 9 or 10 on 30 or more patient survey responses. Press Ganey advises measuring against no less than 30 survey responses per provider to ensure consistency and accuracy. The ratings are defined by Press Ganey’s Clinician and Group Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CG-CAHPS) survey, a nationally standardized tool to measure patient perceptions of care delivered by a provider in an office setting. Specifically, these rankings apply to the CG-CAHPS survey question that asks patients to rate a provider on a scale of zero0 to 10 (10 being the best score possible).

Based on advancements in data methodologies, our organization has a well-established way to review this information in an accurate and systematic fashion. As a result, we’ve been able to recognize our top-ranking clinicians for the past several years, and we plan to continue these efforts moving forward ongoing.

These high-ranking scores are a testament to the outstanding care our clinicians provide every day. As an accountable and transparent organization, we not only continuously review, share and goal-set in alignment with patient experience, but we proudly display real patient comments and experience levels on our own website.
