Does Osher Center for Integrative Health accept insurance?
Yes, lifestyle medicine consultations and follow-up visits, as well as some other services provided by our licensed acupuncturists (L.Ac.) and our psychologist are covered under many plans.
What insurance plans are accepted?
UC Health accepts a variety of plans, but not all of our providers are recognized by and/or credentialed with those plans.
What is the cost involved?
The cost of our services varies:
- Massage Therapy
- $90 for a 60-minute session
- $75 for UC Health and UC employees
- Group Wellness Classes and Events: We strive to keep our wellness classes accessible to all, and therefore operate on a tiered pricing structure.
What are the accepted forms of payment?
Cash, check and credit card are accepted for payment. In addition to this, we do accept payment through health savings and flexible spending accounts, but we recommend that you contact the plan administrator for specific coverage information.

Are there limits to the number of visits that insurance covers?
In some cases, yes, insurance companies do limit the number of visits allowed for particular services. We recommend that you contact your health plan for specific coverage information, or reach out to our Physician Billing Specialist at 513-245-3485 prior to scheduling.
Do I need a referral to be seen in Integrative Health?

Do I file secondary insurance for patients?
Yes, secondary insurance plans will be billed according to coordination of benefits with primary insurer. Please note: Secondary insurers will not pay for services denied by primary insurer. Also, in order for services to be billed to insurance company, they must be participating with the licensed professional that provided services.
What happens if my insurance denies payment?
Any claim that is denied by insurance provider will be reviewed by billing staff. Depending on what is found upon review, financial responsibility may be assumed by patient.
