Krishna Athota, MD

Dr. Athota is actively involved in surgical practice as well as the education of medical students and residents.  He trained in General Surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak Michigan and has additional fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care from the University of Cincinnati.  He joined the Department of Surgery at the University of Cincinnati in 2008. 

Dr. Athota specializes in general and acute care surgery with special interests in gallstones and biliary disease, complex GI surgery, hernia, and diverticular disease of the colon. He is certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery, with Added Qualifications in Surgical Critical Care.
