Dr. Boppana cares for adults with liver disease. She focuses on both the medical and emotional needs of each person and their family. She knows these conditions can feel overwhelming and works to guide patients through every step, from diagnosis to advanced treatments and transplant evaluation.
Clinical Expertise
Dr. Boppana is an internal medicine physician with specialized focus in complex liver diseases, including those that may require liver transplant. She helps patients understand their condition in clear language, explains options, and supports shared decision-making. She is especially committed to caring for patients with advanced, chronic liver disease where treatment choices can be difficult and life-changing.
Research & Innovation
Dr. Boppana plans to participate in clinical trials for liver diseases such as primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), alcoholic liver disease and fatty liver disease. She values research as a way to expand options when standard treatments are limited and to bring promising new therapies to patients in a safe, thoughtful way.
Collaboration & Multidisciplinary Care
At UC Health, Dr. Boppana works closely with liver transplant surgeons, hepatology specialists, primary care, gastroenterology and oncology. Together, they create coordinated care plans for each patient, especially those being evaluated for liver transplant or advanced therapies.
Patient Access & Communication
Dr. Boppana is accepting new patients. She speaks English, Hindi and Telugu, which helps her connect with patients from diverse backgrounds and ensure they feel heard and understood.
Personal Interests
Outside of medicine, Dr. Boppana enjoys hiking and playing pickleball and pingpong, which help her stay active and balanced so she can bring her best energy to patient care.
