Shahla Hosseini, MD,PHD

Shahla Hosseini, MD, PhD, hasbeen with the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation since 2013. Dr. Hosseiniis a board-certified physiatrist (ABPMR) who focuses on neurorehabilitation of her patients by helping to maximize their functioning, whether they have disability due to multiple sclerosis, stroke, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, or other neurologic disease.She is an integral part of the interdisciplinary team which forms theWaddell Center for Multiple Sclerosis. Dr. Hosseini specializes in treatment of muscle spasticity and gait dysfunction. She sees each patient as an individual with unique goals, and works with each person to develop a treatment plan andestablish specific functional goals. She collaborates closely with a competent team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists throughout her patients' therapy course. Dr. Hosseini additionally is aboard-certified electromyographer (ABEM)who performs EMGs to help diagnose certain nerve and muscle disorders.Through her outpatient practice of Physical Medicine Rehabilitation, Dr. Hosseini is helping to improve her patients' function, well-being, and quality of life. She currently is accepting new patients in both her Dayton and West Chester offices.
