Posted Date: Apr 20, 2024

  • Type of Study: Observational/Survey

The term "pimping," commonly used in physician education to describe a form of intense, often aggressive questioning, has been criticized for its hierarchical and gendered implications. Despite its prevalence, there has been little exploration of how this term is perceived across other health professions. Given the frequent interactions between physicians and other health professionals, it is crucial to understand the wider implications of this terminology. Our study investigates the awareness, perceptions, and emotional responses of non-physician health professionals towards the use of "pimping" within healthcare settings.
