Specific aims • To assess outcomes in patients with indeterminate thyroid nodules (atypia of undetermined significance, follicular/Hurthle cell neoplasm) who undergo surgical resection. • To determine what proportion of patients with indeterminate thyroid nodules that are ultimately found to be malignant would be recommended for completion thyroidectomy by ATA 2015 guidelines. • To validate physician performed ultrasound as a powerful decision-making tool for the initial extent of surgery for indeterminate thyroid nodules.
