Heather Boyd, MD

Heather Boyd, MD, is an obstetrician-gynecologist, with interests in reproductive endocrinology and fertility, caring for those with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and who are trying to conceive, as well as perimenopause and menopause care.

As a general obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Boyd cares for women through their pregnancy journey, and loves this area of expertise because of the relationships she builds with her patients.

Dr. Boyd is a firm believer in shared decision-making. The experience with which she aims to provide is truly focused on her patient. Dr. Boyd focuses on reading through provided patient information prior to appointments so that she and the patient can discuss the information together. It is crucial that there is an open line of communication before, after and between appointments—Dr. Boyd personally follows up on results with patients and takes pride in being very responsive on MyChart, so that her patients’ feel heard.

From Dr. Boyd’s perspective, In Science Lives Hope means understanding the science behind the medicine and learning to communicate the science to others.

Dr. Boyd has experience working on quality committees as well as on the maternal mortality task force. Interested in patient education, she has published articles on both PCOS and high-risk pregnancies.

Outside of the health system Dr. Boyd enjoys being outside, which includes doing anything from hiking to playing with her dogs. She also loves reading and has an amazing daughter.
