Barton Branam, MD, attended and played varsity football at Denison University and graduated in 1998. He subsequently attended and graduated from the University of Cincinnati College (UC) of Medicine in 2002. He stayed in the Tristate to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Cincinnati. He then spent one year of additional training at the University of Kentucky, where he completed a sports medicine fellowship.

Given his extensive training, Dr. Branam is an expert in general orthopaedics and happily meets the musculoskeletal needs of all patients whether they are novice, high school or collegiate athletes, or simply a patient with an active lifestyle, regardless of their age. He is the team physician for Sycamore High School and Colerain High School, and supports care and treatment of the University of Cincinnati Bearcats.

Dr. Branam uses his advances arthroscopy training to treat patients with minimally invasive techniques, expediting their recovery. The management of fractures and soft tissue injuries in all patients is a large portion of his practice. Dr. Branam utilizes his expert skills in performing reconstructions, such as total knee replacements, to expand his care into the aging community.
His patients enjoy his accessibility and his personalized approach to their care. This is only possible because he has assembled an outstanding team and utilizes a multidisciplinary approach. Dr. Branam has a highly skilled physician assistant, outstanding office staff, an experienced surgical team and tremendous physical therapists.
When he is not covering sporting events, Dr. Branam enjoys spending time with his family. They are all sports enthusiasts and can often be found playing or watching sports. His favorite outdoor activity is golf.
