LeAnn Coberly, MD

LeAnn Coberly, MD, is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine. She attended Wittenberg University prior to completing medical school at UC.  Dr. Coberly completed her residency at Duke University Medical Center where she was chosen to be Assistant Chief Resident.  She has been a member of the faculty of the college of medicine since 1992 and is the Director of Medical Student Education for the Department of Internal Medicine.  Dr. Coberly is very active in teaching third and fourth year medical students and has won numerous teaching awards as voted by the students.   In 2010, Dr. Coberly got the Doctor’s Day award at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.  She served as Chief of Staff from 2015-16.  

Dr. Coberly’s clinical practice is at the Hoxworth Internal Medicine Faculty Practice. Her clinical interests include the prevention of cardiovascular disease, treatment of hypercholesterolemia, and the role of fitness and nutrition in health.
