Jon Divine, MD

Jon Divine, MD is a Professor at the UC College of Medicine and Head Team Physician for University of Cincinnati Athletics, a position he has held since 2010. Currently he is the Director of Primary Care Sports Medicine with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He came to Cincinnati in 2004, where he started as the Director of Sports Medicine at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and completed his residency in the family medicine department at Baylor College of Medicine. He is board certified in family practice, with a sub-specialty in Sports Medicine and is a fellow in the American College of Sports Medicine. Dr. Divine served as the Medical Director for the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon from 2005-2009 and became the Medical Director again starting in 2013. He serves as Head Team for Simon Kenton High School in Northern Kentucky and the Florence Freedom. Dr. Divines primary interest is in Sports Medicine and he specializes in the treatment and management of concussions. He is leading the way for research on concussion injuries and is a member of the University of Cincinnati Traumatic Brain Force Taskforce. Dr. Divine was recently elected 2nd Vice President of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine Board of Directors.
