Edward A. Faber Jr., DO, MS, is a hematologist/oncologist and a regional leader in the diagnosis, treatment and research of blood cancers. He specializes by incorporating recent advances in research into current treatments, as well as bone marrow transplant and cellular therapies for various blood cancers.
Cellular therapies include CAR-T cell therapy, a process that re-educates T-cells (white blood cells) to identify and destroy blood cancer cells. Cellular therapies also include BiTE’s, which are Bispecific antibody T-cell Engagers, helping to localize a patient’s endogenous T-cells to their blood cancers.
Academically, Dr. Faber has focused clinical and research interests in multiple myeloma, and other related plasma cell dyscrasias, in order to make the newest successful therapies available.
