Beth N. I. Floyd, MD, specializes in gastroenterology, hepatology and transplant hepatology. Dr. Floyd chose to focus her career in these areas because she enjoys the complexity of liver disease and the team approach involved in this type of case.
Dr. Floyd received her medical degree from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, completed residency training in general surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital and completed a medicine internship and residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Floyd continued her education with a gastroenterology fellowship and Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania, and a fellowship in transplant hepatology at the Mayo Clinic- Rochester.
Dr. Floyd’s philosophy on patient care is the belief in providing the best and most up-to-date care, but an individualized treatment plan should reflect the preferences of the patient. She loves to see patients go from their sickest to being restored and living their best lives. Dr. Floyd believes that as healthcare advances are made, patients will be able to live longer and healthier lives.
Outside of work, Dr. Floyd enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, and loves to run, read and watch sports, musicals and dance performances.
