Dr. Friedrich received abachelors degree from Colgate University and his MD from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Hecompleted his internship at Strong Memorial Hospital and residency at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston. He completed fellowships in research, critical care and cardiac anesthesiology from the University of Rochester School of Medicine, Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Womens Hospital. He joined UCs faculty in 2005 following a faculty appointment at Harvard. He serves on a number of professional and service organizations.
