George Jewell, PhD,ABPP-CN

Dr. George Jewell is a clinical psychologist and board-certified neuropsychologist. Dr. Jewell specializes in the evaluation of patients who have difficulties with memory, concentration, or other aspects of cognitive functioning. He sees patients with a variety of neurological conditions, including memory disorders, mild cognitive impairment, dementia, brain tumor, epilepsy, normal pressure hydrocephalus, traumatic brain injury and cerebrovascular diseases.

Prior to joining UC Health, he held the positions of assistant professor at Wright State University, staff neuropsychologist at the Wallace Kettering Neuroscience Institute, staff neuropsychologist at the Lindner Center of HOPE and consulting neuropsychologist for LifeCare Hospitals of Dayton.

Dr. Jewell was given the Dean's Award for Outstanding Accomplishments in Research, as well as the Merit Fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He was also recognized with the National Institute of Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) Pre-Doctoral Fellowship in Rehabilitation Research.

He has published papers and presented at national and international conferences on cognitive and emotional changes in patients with neurological disorders.
