Sara Kleinschmidt, MD, is a dedicated oncology primary care physician at the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center, where she provides care at the region’s first and only Oncology Primary Care Clinic.
With a patient-centered philosophy, Dr. Kleinschmidt offers specialized primary care to patients with active cancer, a history of cancer, or genetic syndromes predisposing them to cancer. She is committed to delivering compassionate and comprehensive care and believes in enhancing her patients’ health by addressing acute and chronic issues related to both their cancer and its treatment.
Dr. Kleinschmidt’s dedication to excellence has been recognized with numerous awards, including 2022 Cincinnati Magazine Top Doctor in Family Medicine as well as the 2022 Curae Physician Award from The Christ Hospital. She has also been named a Best Doctor by Cincy Magazine multiple times and received accolades for her work in preventative medicine and residency teaching.
Her favorite part of her job is the privilege and challenge of listening to her patients' experiences and using that information to guide their treatment effectively.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Kleinschmidt is a proud lifelong Cincinnatian who enjoys spending time with her friends, extended family, husband and children. She enjoys jogging and reading.
