He found his passion for sports medicine through his own background in sports, as well as, during his time serving in the United States Army. Dr. McCoy enjoys treating athletes and individuals achieve their goals and to “keep them going” and getting them back to activities they love most.
Outside of his clinical work, he plans to focus his research on how chiropractic and traditional medicine complement each other in helping patients with musculoskeletal issues. He feels it is important for both the referring physician and patient understand the true effectiveness of adding chiropractic care into a traditional medical treatment plan using evidence-based research.
When Dr. McCoy is not spending time in the clinic, he enjoys working out, spending time with his wife and four children, and going to the shooting range.
