Alexander Mirzoev, MD

Alexander Mirzoev, MD, Assistant Professor, joined UC Health in August 2022. Dr. Mirzoev earned his bachelor’s degree from York University in 2011, and his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in 2015. He went on to complete Internal Medicine and Neurology Residency programs in 2019 at Premier Health Partners-Wright State University.

Specialist in Neuroimmunology and Hospital Neurology

Board-certified in Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Mirzoev specializes in neuroimmunology and autoimmune neurology. This includes multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica, neurosarcoidosis, and encephalitis. He has extensive inpatient and outpatient experience. He believes that along with clinical history and examination, utilizing a combination of advanced imaging modalities and laboratory testing can accurately diagnose and treat these disorders.

These conditions encompass a primary reason for hospitalization and disability in young people. Dr. Mirzoev enjoys solving these rare and complicated cases in the hospital, then continuing care in the clinic and establishing long-term, fulfilling patient relationships.

He is fluent in Russian and speaks basic Spanish and French. In his spare time, Dr. Mirzoev and his family can be found around the many Cincinnati attractions, such as the zoo, aquarium, theme parks, museums, and orchestral concerts. He also enjoys performing piano.
