Andrew Ofosu, MD, is now accepting new patients. Dr. Ofosu has been in practice for 13 years and chose to focus his career in the areas of gastroenterology and hepatology, transplant hepatology and advanced endoscopy, to identify innovative ways to treat patients with complex conditions in a minimally invasive way.
His current research topic is developing innovative ways using artificial intelligence (AI) in endoscopic ultrasound to identify and characterize lesions. This will improve detection rates and efficiency in managing pancreatic lesions.
Also, he recently conducted a study to investigate the demographics, clinical outcomes and survival outcomes of patients diagnosed with early onset (<40 years) and late onset (>40 years) pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAC). This study revealed an increase in both early and late onset pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Further research is needed to examine the etiology leading to the rising incidence of early onset PAC and optimal therapeutic strategies.
Outside of the health system, Dr. Ofosu is an avid soccer player.
