Emily Hill, MD, is a neurologist who specializes in movement disorders, Parkinson’s disease, Parkinsonism, tremors, essential tremor, dementia with Lewy bodies, multiple system atrophy, progressive supranuclear palsy, corticobasal syndrome, dystonia, chorea and Huntington’s disease, Tics & Tourette’s syndrome, ataxia, functional neurologic disorder and gait disorders.
Dr. Hill found her passion for movement disorders after visiting the University of Cincinnati before medical school and learning about the ongoing research being conducted there to improve treatment possibilities for movement disorders.
She has contributed to a number of peer-reviewed publications and recently won the Parkinson Study Group/Parkinson’s Foundation Mentored Clinical Research Award.
In her role at the UC College of Medicine, Dr. Hill is researching why no two people with Parkinson’s are alike by looking closely at bloodwork and other test points to guide personalized therapies. Additionally, she is studying genetics in Parkinson’s disease and the related syndromes, as well as the impact of common medications on the progression of Parkinson’s.
