Matthew Tubb, MD, PhD, joined UC Health in 2013 and practices family medicine at UC Health Primary Care Wyoming location. The Wyoming practice has been part of the community for decades. Dr. Tubb has lived in the Cincinnati/Dayton area since junior high and is originally from Scioto County, Ohio. A graduate of Springboro High School, he received his bachelor degree in Biology at the University of Dayton. He returned to Cincinnati to attend the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine where he earned both his medical degree and a PhD in cholesterol research. He completed his Family Medicine training including serving as Chief Resident at The Christ Hospital/University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Tubb is also an assistant professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in the family medicine research division. He has published several peer-reviewed articles on various research and health topics, as well as earned several awards during training including the Intern of the Year Award and Resident at Teacher Award. He continues to enjoy teaching by hosting first- to third-year medical students in his office, allowing them to learn in the real world medical office, while keeping him on his toes when it comes to the latest medical knowledge.
Dr. Tubb lives with his wife and high school sweetheart Ashley, daughter Eliza, their dogs Watson and Hannah, and cat Scout. They enjoy gardening, family walks, and good TV shows.
